Doctor Profile

Dr. Morgan Lightsey-Santos is passionate about getting people to be able to function at their best. Her journey began at Florida State University where she studied Dietetics and Nutrition. She pursued and obtained her B.S in Nutrition to try and get to the root cause of some disease processes. Here is her personal testimony on how chiropractic care came to impact her life.

“I had always dealt with asthma, allergies, and sleep apnea as a kid, but felt pretty healthy other than that. I have always been interested in helping people and volunteered through my church doing many different functions or events. I choose to be in the health care industry because I wanted to help people become their best self. I pursued medicine, but it lacked getting to people before they were sick. I studied nutrition knowing that it is a major part of the health puzzle, but it was not until I got into a car accident in 2008 that changed my course to where it is today.

At the age of 25, I found myself unable to get off the floor of my apartment a month after an accident. I had such immense pain that I was surprised that I couldn’t bring myself to get up from laying on the floor. My back hurt, my legs hurt, and a sharp pain traveled down into my legs. I had no idea what a chiropractor was or what exactly they did, but I was willing to do anything to get out of pain.

At the first appointment, they told me a little about what it was that they did in the office to help me. However, it was not until the doctors talk that everything clicked for me. Chiropractic is more than just neck or back pain! It was about how the body worked and how nerves, that tell the body to do everything, could get pinched and cause pathological consequences in the body! The very first night after the adjustment, I slept better than I had in YEARS.

My chiropractic journey has become my purpose in all that I do. I became a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2017 and I will fight for you and your health, because I truly want you to have a life worth fighting for, not one that settles for pain or dysfunction.”
